During its annual awards celebration, hosted April 18 in Turner Theatre, the School of Communications acknowledged exemplary student achievement, presented Outstanding Senior Awards, and celebrated this year’s inductees in the Kappa Tau Alpha honors society.

Lily Emlong is the next student to be featured in the “Career Moves” series, which highlights the achievements of ���ϲ����� students and alumni who credit staff in ���ϲ�����’s Student Professional Development Center with helping them achieve their professional goals.

The Distinguished Alumni Awards and Top 10 Under 10 award winners will be recognized at Alumni Awards Weekend to be held April 26-27.

The ���ϲ����� alumna wrote and directed “Incomplete” for her cinema & television arts BFA thesis project, and the film won Best Student Short at the monthly festival in Los Angeles.

Max Wallace ’26, Brendan Antrosiglio ’23, and a student group in the Interactive Media graduate program all earned second-place awards in the Broadcast Education Association’s 2024 Festival of Media Arts.

Wise, a double major in Arts Administration and Acting with a minor in Business Administration from Raleigh, North Carolina utilized the resources provided by the Student Professional Development Center and leveraged faculty connections to land an internship with a company that has been trusted to tell the stories that inspire, enlighten, and captivate audiences across the globe.
