ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ was named PRWeek’s 2019 Outstanding Education Program and was celebrated at the PRWeek Awards dinner and presentation on March 21 in New York City.

As ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ hits the midpoint of its semester and heads into spring break, community members will likely head home, maybe travel, certainly relax and – undoubtedly – stream content. Thanks to the School of Communications’ new channel available on Roku devices, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ-produced content has never been more accessible.

The Women’s ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ in Entertainment Empire mentorship program held its first informational meeting and social gathering on March 14, bringing together female students interested in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles.

The American Advertising Federation, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Communications sponsored a March 14 panel with professionals working in the television and advertising industries, as well as higher education.

Contest winners will be announced at the Society of Professional Journalists Region 2 conference April 6 in Ocean City, Maryland.

Joyce Choi ’19 received a grant from the Center for Leadership and the School of Communications to attend a November conference addressing diversity and inclusion in Hollywood.
