Following the film’s world premiere in California last month, the assistant professor of cinema and television arts will share her film with the ���ϲ����� community, delving into the dangers of misinformation and racial health disparities.

Forty-six Fellows participated in the annual Sunshine State trip, visiting communication companies, meeting industry professionals, and honing their networking skills.

The multitalented actress and writer joined Sean Mikesh ’25, an acting BFA major, for a wide-ranging conversation on March 4 discussing her career trajectory from the ���ϲ����� stage to big-screen Hollywood recognition.

Presented by the School of Communications Inclusive Excellence Committee, the interactive event brought together students, faculty, staff and alumni to discuss a broad range of issues related to inclusivity in communications, journalism and the media.

The student-run news organization was recognized at the North Carolina College Media Association’s annual conference held Feb. 22 at Appalachian State University.

Hosted by the school’s Inclusive Excellence Committee, the interactive event will bring together students, faculty and staff to explore topics such as investigative journalism, media diversity, health disparities, and sports equity, with a special emphasis on undergraduate research advancing DEI efforts.

���ϲ����� students captured 11 awards in the 2025 BEA Festival of Media Arts, an international competition recognizing excellence in digital media and broadcasting. Most notably, Brandon Cericola ’26 and Kate Rivera ’25 turned their Audio for Sound and Digital Media class assignment into a Best of Festival award.

The ���ϲ����� alum is adventuring out west, at least on screen, in the prequel to the hit Paramount Network series "Yellowstone."

In her new role, the Kent State graduate leads a team of more than 60 students, ensuring high-quality live sports broadcasts of university contests and hands-on learning opportunities for aspiring broadcast professionals.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 2,200 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.
