Proceeds from Watson’s gift will strengthen the renowned college access and success program that has transformed the lives of thousands of local high school students with high financial need, including those with no family history of attending college.

Move-In Day 2024 at ���ϲ����� on Aug. 23 featured support from 170 staff and faculty volunteers, over 100 Orientation Student Leaders, over 100 Residence Life Student Leaders, all fall student-athletes and their coaches and an additional 174 student volunteers.

���ϲ����� President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallion to three longtime leaders at the university in academics, athletics and community engagement during an event marking the start of a new academic year. The university also recognized three named professorships during the event.

���ϲ����� was among the institutions selected by FirstGen Forward for its inaugural class of Network Champions.

The incoming cohort of Odyssey Program scholars was welcomed to the university through Odyssey Week, an orientation program introducing them to much of what ���ϲ����� has to offer.

The ���ϲ����� Freedom Scholars is one of several university college access programs, launched in 2022. This summer, the second cohort of the program celebrated their civic engagement research and initiatives at their annual Symposium, inspired to find their purpose and better their communities.

Nineteen Latinx/Hispanic seniors and their families came together on May 23 to celebrate their roots and thank those who supported them at ���ϲ����� as part of “¡Celebremos!: Graduates Take Flight.” 

Forty members of the Class of 2024 who are first-generation college students received special stoles during the May 22 ceremony held in McKinnon Hall.

���ϲ����� Academy, ���ϲ�����'s college access and success program, hosted an Orientation Day on May 11th for the newly accepted scholars and families.

Sixteen students in ���ϲ����� Academy's Pi cohort were celebrated on Wednesday, May 8, as they prepare to graduate from high school and pursue new educational opportunities.
