Chief Justice Elizabeth "Beth" Walker of the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia visited Greensboro accompanied by law clerks Evan Smith L’20 and Mary Beth Royal L’21, who both emphasized the importance of strong legal writing for securing judicial clerkships.

Krista Contino Saumby, who mentors and advises law students as associate director of career development, will develop programming and networking opportunities for attorneys across the Carolinas as a regional president of the Hispanic National Bar Association.

Lauren Jones L’23 was invited to help lead an online program hosted by the American Bar Association intended for prospective and current law students of diverse backgrounds to hear from successful lawyers about their journey to the profession.

Theresa Brunner L’22 was one of only four law school students from across the United States selected for a summer program with The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program, which represents clients before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.

Zechariah Etheridge, Andrew Tawiah and Kelsie Wiltse from ���ϲ����� Law's Class of 2021 will work this summer in top legal placements through the North Carolina Bar Association's Minorities in the Profession 1L Summer Associate Program.

Second- and third-year ���ϲ����� Law students completed internships over the summer months with judges, law firms, nonprofits and government agencies around the United States.
