Hundreds of faculty and staff, alumni, parents and friends gathered in Rhodes Stadium Oct. 21 for Rally ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ to celebrate surpassing the historic $100 million Ever ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ goal.

Thanks to the generosity of faculty, staff and other donors, Ever ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ: The Campaign for the Future of Our University has passed the $95 million mark toward the $100 million goal. This historic campaign, the largest in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s history and the first to focus primarily on endowment building, has transformed student learning and facilities and added significant resources for faculty development.

During the Ever ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Campaign, faculty and staff members have taken advantage of planned giving to make a powerful difference in the lives of students while providing for themselves and their loved ones.

A record 56 percent of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and staff have participated in the 2010-2011 Faculty/Staff Campaign, making more than $270,000 in gifts and pledges to the university. As of March 22, 663 employees had made a gift this year to support students, faculty and facilities. In addition, for the second consecutive year, 100 percent of faculty and staff at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law have made a gift to the university this year.

Pam Brumbaugh and Paul Miller are among the members of the campus community who have made a gift to the 2010-2011 Faculty/Staff Campaign, which is on track to become one of the university’s most successful annual giving drives among employees.

The 2010-2011 Faculty/Staff Campaign is off to its best start ever with donors contributing more than $234,000 in gifts and pledges to the annual giving drive. That total is approximately $48,000 higher than what faculty and staff contributed in gifts and pledges at this time last year. More than 40 percent of faculty and staff have made a gift or pledge to this year’s campaign.

The 2010-2011 Faculty/Staff Campaign is under way. So far, more than 300 faculty and staff members have made gifts to the university to support the hallmarks of an ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ education, including excellent teaching and engaged learning programs, outstanding facilities and scholarships for students.

If you haven’t made your gift to the 2009-10 Faculty/Staff Campaign, don’t worry. There is still time to participate! All gifts received by May 31, 2010, count toward the Faculty/Staff Campaign as well as to Ever ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ: The Campaign for the Future of Our University, which seeks to build the university’s endowment, increase annual and planned giving, and build and preserve the campus. To date, donors to Ever ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ have contributed more than $77 million toward the $100 million comprehensive campaign goal.

The campus community continues to respond enthusiastically to the annual Faculty/Staff Campaign. As of mid-March, 409 employees, or 32 percent of faculty and staff, have donated $251,000 in cash and annual gift commitments. During 2008-2009, 35 percent of faculty and staff contributed $234,000 to support the university.
