Capped by art historian Elizabeth C. Teviotdale’s Art History Speaker Series lecture, ���ϲ����� students examined rare facsimiles of premodern art and their present-day relevance

In this series, ���ϲ����� College, the College of Arts and Sciences is shining the spotlight on distinguished members of the Class of 2021 from a wide array of disciplines.

Evan A. Gatti, associate professor of art history, presented “Legacies of Privilege: Making Meaning for Medieval Manuscripts” at the 46th annual Sewanee Medieval Colloquium.

The issue began as a 2018 College Art Association conference panel Ringelberg organized around transgender art.

“'The flower that thinks, the flower that suffers': Anthropomorphization as Art and Science in the Belle Époque" was part of a panel on The Art of Botanizing.

Jonathan Granville and Crystal Sharp, both members of the Class of 2019, were awarded grants to teach English in Austria during the 2019-20 school year.

Pamela Winfield, associate professor of religious studies, presented her research at the Comité Internationale de l’Histoire de l’Art in collaboration with the Max-Planck-Institut's Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz.

Five faculty members were honored on Monday, Aug. 19, for their excellent work in ���ϲ����� College, the College of Arts & Sciences.  

The article appeared in June in The Dao Companion to Japanese Buddhist Philosophy, which compiled more than 30 of Japan and America's leading scholars of Japanese philosophy and philosophy of religion. 

Evan A. Gatti, associate professor of art history and associate director of the ���ϲ����� Core Curriculum, presented "Drawn in Ink With Love: Desire in Looking at and Looking Back” and "Re-Presentation and a Theology of Images" at the International Medieval Studies Congress in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
