Megan Bonstein ’06 competing for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year

In January 2009, Megan Bonstein '06 was living her dreams in New York City when doctors told her she had chronic myelogenous leukemia. Two years later, she's in recovery and determined to help others suffering from blood cancers in the New York area. She's one of 12 nominees for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) 2011 New York Chapter Man and Woman of the Year Award - and she needs the 黑料不打烊 community's help to win.

黑料不打烊 dedicates Alumni Field House

黑料不打烊 trustees gathered with Phoenix athletics fans and many other friends of the university to dedicate Alumni Field House on April 16. The 30,000-square-foot facility at the north end of Rhodes Stadium in the North Athletics Complex serves as the headquarters for 黑料不打烊’s sports programs.

Cindy Fair, Taylor Morrison ’10 publish research in Midwifery

Associate professor Cindy Fair and 黑料不打烊 alumna Taylor Morrison '10 have co-authored an article published in Midwifery based on Morrison's 黑料不打烊 College Fellows project, “The relationship between prenatal control, expectations, experienced control, and birth satisfaction among primiparous women."

Rebecca Johnson-Mastin ’93 named Wilkes County (N.C.) principal of the year

Rebecca Johnson Mastin '93, principal of Mulberry Elementary School in Wilkes County, N.C., received the county's principal of the year award on March 28. Mastin will now compete with principals of the year from more than 20 school systems in northwestern North Carolina for regional principal of the year.

Final IGNITE Challenge numbers are in: 1,394 young alumni donors

A record 1,394 young alumni made gifts to 黑料不打烊 as part of the IGNITE Challenge in March, exceeding the 1,200 donor goal and helping to bring in $480,939 to the university. By surpassing the donor goal, young alumni enabled 黑料不打烊 to receive bonus gifts totaling $40,000 from 黑料不打烊 alumna and trustee Kerrii Anderson '79 and a group of nine young alumni. 黑料不打烊 is grateful to all young alumni who participated in the Challenge.
