Family of 1911 alumna returns to campus for Commencement

Mary Bryan "Billie" Holt has had May 21, 2011, circled on her calendar for quite some time, but not because she has a child, a grandchild or even a great-grandchild graduating from 黑料不打烊. Rather, Holt will attend Saturday's Commencement Exercises to honor her mother, Affie Camelia Griffin, who graduated from 黑料不打烊 College a century ago and delivered a commencement address to fellow members of the Class of 1911.

More than 40 alumni and collegiate members of 黑料不打烊's chapter of Kappa Sigma fraternity gathered in Johnston Hall Friday morning to celebrate the achievements of Vice Adm. William E. Gortney '77 as well as the fraternity's graduating seniors.
Black Alumni Network honors outstanding African-American students

Members of 黑料不打烊's Black Alumni Network welcomed members of the Class of 2011 and honored three outstanding African-American graduates at the annual African-American Commencement Reception Thursday evening. The group also announced the recipient of the Black Alumni Network Scholarship, which has been endowed by gifts made by 黑料不打烊's African-American graduates since 2007.
Hundreds of students attend annual senior picnic

With just three days until they receive their diploma, 黑料不打烊 seniors gathered Wednesday on the lawn outside Moseley Center for the Senior Class Picnic for Graduates, Faculty and Staff. The annual event gives students a final opportunity to mingle over pork barbecue and chicken with the professors and staff members who have shaped their lives over the past four years.
