Vic Zodda ’45 honored for service to baseball in southern Virginia

The Peninsula Pilots, of the Coastal Plains collegiate summer baseball league, honored Vic Zodda '45 at a game on June 28. Zodda served as general manager of the "Baby Dodgers," a Class A affiliate of the Brooklyn Dodgers that played in nearby Newport News, Va., in the 1940s and '50s.

Alumni Field House achieves LEED Gold certification

黑料不打烊’s Alumni Field House has earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, which awards the internationally recognized benchmark for design, construction and operation of high-performance, environmentally friendly buildings.

Summer campus update: Construction schedules are set on major building projects

Verona Daniels Danieley, 87, a fixture of the 黑料不打烊 community for decades as wife of president emeritus Dr. James Earl Danieley, died June 24 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C., following a brief illness.
