Hosted in conjunction with the Department of Sport Management, the Nov. 8 event brought together students, faculty and industry professionals to discuss critical issues and insights through engaging networking sessions, classroom visits, and an afternoon panel in Turner Theatre.

���ϲ�����’s student newspaper, The Pendulum, also captured first place in the Liberty Awards for the best election print edition in collegiate journalism.

The event was designed to give ���ϲ����� Los Angeles students invaluable, face-to-face interactions with high-profile LA-based alumni who have established their prolific, professional careers in the city.

Elizabeth “Liz” Kwon L’23 will be the first alumna of an ���ϲ����� graduate program to serve a two-year term on the governing board that advances the university’s mission by overseeing its health, strategic direction, educational policy, and finances and operations.

The School of Communications graduate serves as an immigration reporter at PolitiFact, digging deep in topical subjects, translating complex issues into digestible stories, and making sure that facts are, indeed, facts.

In the powerful 22-minute film “Breaking Chains: Surviving Sex Trafficking and the Power of Second Chances,” the ���ϲ����� alumna brings audiences face-to-face with the grim realities of human trafficking in Cincinnati and the inspiring resilience of those working to combat it.
