Thursday’s 6th annual Call to Honor ceremony in the Academic Village emphasized the pillars of ���ϲ�����’s Honor Code.

���ϲ����� earns a long list of top honors in the 2012 “America’s Best Colleges” rankings by U.S.News & World Report.

For the ninth year in a row, ���ϲ����� is ranked among the nation's 376 top colleges and universities by The Princeton Review. The 2012 college guide, released Aug. 1, also ranks ���ϲ�����’s study abroad program as #4 in the nation, and ���ϲ�����’s theater program as #15.

With about 1,425 first-year students, ���ϲ�����’s Class of 2015 is the largest, most qualified and most diverse in the university’s history.

The Class of 2015 gathered together for the first time “Under the Oaks” in front of the West residence hall on Aug. 26 as ���ϲ����� administrators, faculty and student leaders welcomed them to the start of their academic journeys during New Student Convocation.

���ϲ����� faculty, staff and students have donated hundreds of school supplies that will benefit children in Alamance County and in Afghanistan.

A $1.2 million grant from the National Science Foundation will bolster the number of math and science teachers ���ϲ����� graduates in the years ahead through a partnership with the Alamance-Burlington School System.
