A grant from the Association of Legal Writing Directors supported the two-day visit by Ruth Anne Robbins, a distinguished clinical professor from Rutgers Law who taught ���ϲ����� Law students, faculty, and staff about the power of narrative storytelling and the importance of document design in the legal profession.

Three ���ϲ����� Law alumni shared perspectives and practical advice with current students as part of a Hispanic Heritage Month panel conversation hosted in September by the Hispanic and Latinx Law Students Association and the Women's Law Association. 

Kjirsten Durand-Johnson L’20 has been honored in the most recent Adam A. Milani Disability Law Writing Competition for a class assignment she parlayed into a formal contest submission.

The Hispanic and Latinx Law Students Association is hosting events open to the entire ���ϲ����� Law community in commemoration of September’s Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Black Law Students Association leads a series of programs from Sept. 16-20 to encourage students of color - both those already at ���ϲ����� Law and those considering law school - to find mentors, develop networks, and learn of available resources for achieving academic and professional success.

Ashley Jay Elizabeth Poling L'13 was sworn in last month as a commissioner of the Postal Regulatory Commission, an independent agency that provides regulatory oversight over the United States Postal Service.

Twenty-five students in the Class of 2020 will help guide the school's moot court program over the next year by participating in upcoming national contests and coordinating ���ϲ����� Law's own national moot court competition.

"A Symposium to Assess Judicial Independence in 2019" will feature contributions from some of the nation's top legal scholars and political observers visiting ���ϲ����� Law in downtown Greensboro.

Second- and third-year ���ϲ����� Law students completed internships over the summer months with judges, law firms, nonprofits and government agencies around the United States.

���ϲ����� Law's Class of 2021 was reminded this month of the ways a legal education can benefit society when students gathered on main campus for a Convocation ceremony that emphasized academic and professional expectations for law students.
