Timon McPhearson's lecture, "Urban Futures: Transforming Cities for Resilience and Sustainability," was presented by ���ϲ����� College, the College of Arts & Sciences as part of the annual Voices of Discovery series.

Students presented their research at the annual Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (SERMACS) in Savannah, Georgia.

���ϲ����� was selected from a group of nearly 700 colleges and universities for the guide for the 10th straight year.

In the second neighborhood “Immersion Excursion” of the year, a group of Danieley Center students and Faculty Director Matthew Buckmaster took the train from Burlington to Durham on Oct. 5. 

The demonstration, which served as the opening of Campus Sustainability Week at ���ϲ�����, showed how much of the campus' landfill waste could actually be recycled or composted.

The Hazon Seal of Sustainability certifies a Jewish organization’s commitment to safeguarding the environment. ���ϲ����� Hillel was the only organization in N.C. to receive the honor.

The Office of Sustainability will host numerous events throughout the week to bring awareness to and inspire sustainable behavior change throughout campus.

The Sept. 17 article, "Why College Campuses Are Going Green," highlights how ���ϲ����� is imparting lessons to students about how to care for the natural environment.

The Sept. 24 event is co-sponsored by ���ϲ�����'s Center for Environmental Studies and the Cape Fear River Assembly.
