More than 1,400 students across two ceremonies participated in ���ϲ�����'s Commencement in Schar Center on Friday, May 24.

Nineteen Latinx/Hispanic seniors and their families came together on May 23 to celebrate their roots and thank those who supported them at ���ϲ����� as part of “¡Celebremos!: Graduates Take Flight.” 

The history major and native of Greensboro, North Carolina, found an unexpected path at ���ϲ�����, which led to the creation of his start-up, Found Focus.

Forty members of the Class of 2024 who are first-generation college students received special stoles during the May 22 ceremony held in McKinnon Hall.

On May 21, the evening before their Commencement ceremony, 13 graduate students in ���ϲ�����'s Interactive Media master's program shared their thesis projects with professionals, faculty, staff, family and friends.

As they prepare to receive their diplomas on Friday, May 24, ���ϲ�����'s graduating seniors came together for an evening of reflection and inspiration in the heart of ���ϲ�����'s campus.

Grace Ackermann was selected to deliver a Message of Appreciation on behalf of the Class of 2024 at ���ϲ�����’s commencement ceremonies, the first time a member of the graduating class has been invited to do so.

On May 13, the annual celebration brought together faculty, staff, and graduating seniors, marking a special occasion. Notably, this year’s festivities introduced a new tradition by incorporating awards for both students and faculty members in one event.

The journalism major is applying what she learned on campus and during her internships in a full-time role as a digital content producer at WCPO 9 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

“Odds,” the 2024 senior thesis art exhibition, is the culmination of a year of research and self-exploration and the starting point to artists’ careers
