���ϲ����� has released the inaugural edition of the President's Report, which highlights faculty and student scholarship during the 2010-11 academic year.

Professor of Music Thomas Erdmann had his most recent book, How Jazz Trumpeters Understand Their Music, reviewed in the October 2011 issue of the ITG Journal.

���ϲ�����’s new lifelong education program began fall sessions Sept. 6 with a capacity enrollment of 200.

John G. Sullivan, Powell Professor of Philosophy Emeritus, has published an article titled ““Service through Life’s Seasons” in the Summer 2011 issue of Itineraries, the electronic journal of the North Carolina non-profit organization, Second Journey.

Tony Amoruso, assistant professor of accounting, and Neeraj Gupta, assistant professor of finance, are featured in the “Top 75 Public Companies” article appearing in the August 2011 issue of Business North Carolina. They compiled the publication’s “Top 75” list, an annual ranking of the largest publicly traded companies based in the state.

Thirteen artists interpret the urban experience through painting, printmaking, mixed media installations, photography and video installations.

Sang Nam, an assistant professor in the School of Communications, was awarded the Distinguished Service Award and Tablet of Honor from the Minister of Education, Science and Technology of Korea during the summer.

For the ninth year in a row, ���ϲ����� is ranked among the nation's 376 top colleges and universities by The Princeton Review. The 2012 college guide, released Aug. 1, also ranks ���ϲ�����’s study abroad program as #4 in the nation, and ���ϲ�����’s theater program as #15.

President Leo M. Lambert and senior staff members previewed the 2011-2012 academic year on Aug. 18 for university employees. In two separate meetings, administrators provided a summary of recent work and initiatives planned for the coming months.

Paul Parsons, dean of the School of Communications, formally received the national Administrator of the Year award at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication conference on Aug. 10 in St. Louis.
