Members of the Global Neighborhood Association presented to a group of international educators at the NCAIE State Conference on March 13.

The assistant professor in the Department of Sport & Event Management signed copies of the second edition of his book, “Cradle of the Game: Baseball and Ballparks in North Carolina.”

The communications professor and strategic communications major shared their joint research paper, “Tweeps as sources: A comparison of legacy and new news outlets,” at a March 6-7 conference held at the University of Oklahoma.

In an example of collaboration between academics and practitioners, Carmen Monico worked with her former dissertation chair, Karen Smith Rotabi, now in the United Arab Emirates University, Kelley McCreery Bunkers, a child protection consultant, and Lucy Armistead, an adoption agency director, in the production of two book chapters summarizing the social literature of intercountry adoption globally, and the U.S. intercountry adoption experience from post-disaster Haiti.

The professor in the Department of Physical Therapy Education presented on a retrospective study involving the use of Nitroglycerin patches.

Chris Richardson, assistant professor of physics, and Maria Temming ’16, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Honors Fellow, each described their research during the annual Triad Starfest, a meeting of professional and amateur astronomers at Guilford Technical Community College.

Students, faculty and staff interacted with dozens of wellness booths during the Wellness Fair in McKinnon Hall on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Day.

The popular astrophysicist vists ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ on April 2, 2015, for Spring Convocation in Alumni Gym. All tickets to the event have been distributed. A standby line will form at 2:45 p.m. in the Koury Athletic Center concourse for members of the campus community, and a closed-circuit broadcast of the program takes place in the Lakeside Meeting Rooms.
