Claussen, associate professor of religious studies and Lori and Eric Sklut Scholar in Jewish Studies, is one of eight ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty members featured this year in "Passionately Curious," the annual ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ President's Report. 

The School of Education has been selected to participate in the N.C. Early Learning and Literacy Impact Coalition through Deans for Impact.

Eric Townsend, director of communications for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law, received the College News Association of the Carolinas' 2019 H. Lewis Gaston Award for outstanding service to CNAC and accomplishments in public relations in higher education.

Patch, senior lecturer in English and College Writing (ENG 110) Coordinator, has been elected vice president of the Council of Writing Program Administrators. She will become president of the organization in 2021.

Alumni, students, families, faculty, staff and friends gave 6,376 gifts and more than $2.3 million in honor of the day, propelling this year’s ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Day celebration to new heights.

Professor Paula Rosinski and Assistant Professor Heather Lindenman led a faculty/staff workshop on the personal, professional and civic writing in which ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students engage and how we might integrate what students learn from this kind of writing into our classrooms.

Baris Kesgin’s recent publication looks into how political leaders attend to different audiences in their foreign policy statements. Kesgin’s paper “,” is published in Turkish Studies, an international, peer-reviewed journal.
