Organizations across ���ϲ�����’s campus have lots of plans in place for spending time out of the classroom.

This summer, the university’s innovative E Company program leveraged the time and talents of ���ϲ����� students to meet the needs of local K-12 students as well as to assist with preparations for fall semester.

Associate Professor of English Prudence Layne organized The CoRE: Conversations on Race and Equity to discuss community issues in Burlington and Alamance County

The 22 students of the ���ϲ����� Academy's 14th cohort came to campus for a two-day orientation that replaced the program's typical summer enrichment program.

This is the first in a series of virtual forums that runs through Sept. 7 and will focus on race and policing. Associate Professor of English Prudence Layne organized the forums to strengthen conversation among the community, area leaders, and government officials.

���ϲ����� took its annual Summer in the Village enrichment program online this year by building a broader team to support students.

Cynthia Hernandez L’20, with guidance from Assistant Professor Taleed El-Sabawi, compiled a checklist sent to North Carolina lawyers who defend clients facing murder charges under the state’s new "death by distribution" law.

The oldest students participating in ���ϲ�����’s Summer in the Village program were paired with nine ���ϲ����� students to create projects focused on cultivating and understanding empathy.

The nine-day, virtual version of ���ϲ����� Explorers was designed by ���ϲ����� faculty, alumni, and undergraduates to boost scientific thinking and skills in Alamance-Burlington School System middle schoolers through synchronous and asynchronous experiments.
