As a precaution against the spread of COVID-19, ���ϲ����� has transitioned to virtual programming for its 2020 First-Year Summer Experience programs.

The local minister formed a community partnership with ���ϲ�����’s Assistant Professor of Philosophy Lauren Guilmette and the Alamance Resiliency Coalition to provide resources to help the older populations of East Burlington during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funded by the North Carolina Local News Lab Fund and housed in ���ϲ�����’s School of Communications, the local news initiative will support four student journalists this summer as they cover the impact of COVID-19 and other important stories across North Carolina.

During an online ceremony, these six new ���ϲ����� alumni formalized their participation in service-year programs offered by ���ϲ����� in partnership with local organizations. Six fellows who have completed their year of service were also recognized.

The annual event held on May 19 – the evening before the iMedia Commencement ceremony – provided 30 graduate students an opportunity to publicly present their thesis projects, illustrating the culmination of knowledge they obtained during the 10-month program.
