The professorships, announced during the university's Opening Day for the new academic year, support members of the faculty from a variety of disciplines across the university.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and staff will participate in a full week of activities, gatherings and workshops as ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ kicks off the 2021-22 academic year on Monday, Aug. 16, at Opening Day.

Since women's sports gained varsity recognition in 1971, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has claimed more than 30 regular season or tournament championships, as well as earning 13 national postseason appearances.

The award supports the "MOve Virtually with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ (MO.V.E.) Program for Individuals with Parkinson's Disease" project.

Associate Professor Ben Hannam, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate Rachel Cifarelli ’21, and current students Catherine Nester ’22 and Grayson Meadors ’22 were recognized in more than a dozen competition categories.

The student organization was recognized for its activities during the 2020-21 academic year.

All 17 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Phoenix teams were represented on the honor roll, which includes student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average during the semester or a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Associate Professor Vickie Moore is co-principal investigator on a five-year National Science Foundation grant of nearly $500,000 that supports training faculty in assessment of undergraduate learning in biochemistry and molecular biology, with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and creating a community of practice.

Assistant Professor Tiffany Atkins L’11 received the Outstanding Service Award from the Association of Legal Writing Directors for her work co-chairing the group’s Biennial Leadership Academy Subcommittee.
