Micaela Malachowski '20, elementary education major, was recently selected at the 2021 Cabarrus County Schools Beginning Teacher of the Year.

A nonprofit founded by Gerard Truesdale L’Dec.’17 offers programs and resources that assist high school students in Greensboro who are inspired to pursue college and career goals.

The Business Fellow alumnus received recognition from the International Association of Agricultural Economists for the papers, “Rethinking the Link between Production Diversity and Dietary Diversity: Theory and Evidence” and “Investment Decisions and Gender in Agricultural Households: Evidence from a Lab-in-the-Field Experiment in Rural Tanzania.”

The former board chair and adviser to three ���ϲ����� presidents passed away on Aug. 25.

From September to October, Welcome to the City events will be held for alumni across the nation to connect with their local ���ϲ����� networks

The university shared with those registered for the celebration new details about when and where events will take place as well as policy changes impacting the weekend.

The office of Alumni Engagement is bringing back the ���ϲ����� Alumni in the Ballpark series in a select few cities and regions including NYC, Boston, Triangle, Triad, Alamance County and Atlanta for alumni to connect and join in fellowship. These events will be taking place through the end of August.

Melissa Troutman ’13 G’15 relied on a business plan she developed in class to open Simply Oak Boutique in downtown ���ϲ����� in 2017.

The James P. Elder Lecture series was first endowed by former students of the popular professor and mentor who has now ensured that the series named for him will endure for future generations.
