Tom Parham and Jerry Tolley will be among seven accomplished figures this spring to make up the 2011 class to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame. Parham, who led ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ men's tennis program for nearly two decades and briefly coached the women's team, and Tolley, a celebrated ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ football coach, will be enshrined at a May 12 ceremony in the North Raleigh Hilton Hotel. Both men won NAIA national championships during their ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ careers.

Athletics staff and coaches began the move into Alumni Field House on Jan. 14. The 30,000-square-foot facility at the north end of Rhodes Stadium in the North Athletics Complex is the new headquarters for Phoenix athletics.

Veteran ACC assistant football coach Jason Swepson has been named ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's new head football coach. The announcement came at a Jan. 10 news conference in Alumni Gym, attended by more than 300 Phoenix fans and members of the football team.
