An annual ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ tradition brought thousands of students, families and friends to the heart of campus on Dec. 1, 2014, to celebrate the holiday season with song, cider and Santa Claus.

Gortney, who will be sworn in at a Dec. 5 ceremony, was nominated for the post this summer by President Barack Obama.

The event series makes its international debut in London on Jan. 10, with President Leo M. Lambert attending to deliver a university update.  

Four students and one professor provided video and social media coverage to this annual summit of industry leaders, entrepreneurs and researchers in Nashville. Two more ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students and one ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alum attended as well.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s alumni donors will be specially recognized as part of the annual celebration that ushers in the winter season to campus.

As soccer’s popularity surges nationwide, so does the strength of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s program. The result? The Phoenix has become a source of professional players who can succeed at the country’s highest level.

Being a successful theater actor in New York isn’t easy. Just ask Todd Horman ’94, the first graduate of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s music theatre program who has managed to stay in the business thanks, in part, to Professor of Performing Arts Cathy McNeela, a mentor and friend who taught him the ropes 24 years ago.

The annual awards are sponsored by the Young Alumni Council and honor deserving ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ alumni who have graduated within the past decade.
