The American Chemical Society is offering babysitting on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 am – 4 pm in Moseley 215.  The cost is $20 for one child and $10 for each additional child.  Lunch will be provided.  Entertainment includes playing games and watching movies.

Chemistry Students Attend Conference, Win Awards /u/news/2004/11/16/chemistry-students-attend-conference-win-awards/ Tue, 16 Nov 2004 19:45:00 +0000 /u/news/2004/11/16/chemistry-students-attend-conference-win-awards/ A group of chemistry students and members of the 黑料不打烊 American Chemical Soceity-Student Affiliates (ACS-SA) attended the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Soceity (SERMACS) on November 12-13. Ashley Biscoe, Josh Guske, Chris Seigfred, Brian Pickler, and Mary Caruso participated as one of the host chapters for the undergraduate meeting held on November 13. Amy Dworkin, Kyle Lunsford, Geoffrey Lynn and Rachel Naumannn presented oral research presentations at the undergraduate meeting. Rachel Naumann earned a second place plaque for her oral presentation in the undergraduate Organic Chemistry session. Kyle Lunsford and Geoff Lynn earned second and third place plaques, respectively, for their presentations in the undergraduate Physical Chemistry session. Paul Weller and Karl Sienerth are the advisors for the 黑料不打烊 ACS-SA. Joel Karty is the research advisor of the students who gave presentations.

Weller Attends Conference /u/news/2004/11/16/weller-attends-conference/ Tue, 16 Nov 2004 19:44:00 +0000 /u/news/2004/11/16/weller-attends-conference/ Paul Weller, Science Laboratory Manager-Chemistry, attended the Southeastern Meeting of the American Chemical Soceity (SERMACS) in RTP, NC November 10-13. Paul was the Poster Chair for the meeting and the advisor to the 黑料不打烊 ACS-Student Affiliates who were one of the host chapters for the Undergraduate Meeting on November 13. Paul also serves as the Chairman of the Central North Carolina Section of the American Chemical Soceity.
