Health and human performance senior lecturer and students featured in international training video

The video was released on April 1, 2014. The institute was established in 1994 in response to requests from people and organizations around the world who wished to visit the Comprehensive Rural Health Project in India and learn about the Jamkhed Model.

This film provides an overview of the courses, experiences and educational opportunities available to international visitors wishing to study at CRHP. Viewers get an insight into training courses through first-hand experiences from students and faculty who have studied at CRHP.

Tapler has created a transformative Winter Term practicum experience for students studying at CRHP as part of their public health studies major.

Judy Esposito, Human Service Studies, and Resa Walch, Health and Human Performance, presented at the International Society of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning conference in Raleigh, NC last week. Their presentation, Students as Partners in Learning: Going Beyond Institutional Evaluations, was based on a three-year collaborative project involving both their winter-term courses, Fatherhood in Modern Society (Esposito) and Substance Abuse and Human Behavior (Walch).

The theme of the conference, Research on Teaching and Learning: Integrating Practices, was held in Hamilton, Ontario on October 23-27, 2012 . Esposito and Walch received a CATL grant and summer research funds from the School of Education for their collaborative project over the last two years.

Marketing and Promotions Student Intern

The Promotions and Marketing Student Intern for Health and Human Performance will create multimedia products as part of an overall campaign related to three growth areas in the academic department. Duties include writing materials for a variety of media, including blogs, websites, twitter and an online newsletter. The intern will produce 2 short video clips, 3 brochures and 2 power points. This position will require some work independently and must be someone who is self-motivated and meets deadlines.

This job is for one to two semesters and includes a good stipend. A great opportunity for the right student to add to their portfolio.
