Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies Tracey Thurnes will begin a three-year term as director at large on the PAEA Board of Directors in 2025.

Associate Professor Tracey Thurnes and Dianne Person, director of the Anatomical Gift Program presented “Better End-of-Life Conversations: A Mutually Beneficial Educational Experience.”

The forum took place Thursday, Oct. 10, through Saturday, Oct. 12, in Washington, D.C.

Hillary McDonald, third-year PA student attended the 2019 Triangle Health Innovation Challenge (thinc) held Feb. 1-3. The 3-day hackathon held at the Duke School of Medicine joined teams of students from the Triangle's regional colleges and universities to solve pressing problems in healthcare.

���ϲ����� had a strong presence at the conference, held May 19-23 in New Orleans, with 11 physician assistant students from the classes of 2019 and 2020 attending and four faculty members presenting.

Students in ���ϲ�����'s Physician Assistant Studies program and staff from the Alamance Open Door Clinic participated in a design thinking sprint on Tuesday, Dec. 5, to address two questions related to quality improvement and patient adherence.

 

The School of Health Sciences hosted its second interprofessional education session on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017. The event included students from the ���ϲ����� Physician Assistant, ���ϲ����� Physical Therapy and Alamance Community College Nursing programs. 

 

���ϲ�����’s Physician Assistant Studies program was well represented at the 2017 National Physician Assistant Education Association Forum held Oct. 25-28 in Denver, Colorado. 

 

The School of Health Sciences hosted an interprofessional education session on Wednesday, Nov. 30, that included students from the ���ϲ����� Physician Assistant Program, the ���ϲ����� Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and the Alamance Community College Nursing Program.
