The Fire of the Carolinas has announced its 2013 Leadership Team. These students represent different majors from across the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus from different class groups, and are the main group that perpare the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Marching Band for the fall season. They are highly active with the band and help to make sure the Fire of the Carolinas is perpared each season.

A new community band is now meeting for the first time on ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's campus.

Tony Sawyer, a lecturer and director of bands at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, was awarded the national Paula Crider Award by the Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority at the Wind Ensemble's May 10 concert.

Tony Sawyer, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Director of Bands, spent spring break working with the Besana Marching Band in Besana, Italy.
