ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s student-run strategic communications agency has partnered with the global content marketing firm based in Greensboro for an official collaboration. A partnership kickoff event is scheduled for Friday, March 13, at the Greensboro co//ab space.

Live Oak Communications and Pace Communications will launch their Project Echo partnership with a kickoff event on Friday, March 13, from 4-6 p.m. at the Greensboro co//ab space. 

The 2015 Nashville Film Festival celebrates "That Other Crazy Thing You Do," a short narrative film written by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate Michelle Leibel ’14. 

During the last year, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate Alex Hadden ’13 has worked on a documentary, titled “BRAND: A Second Coming," that features entertainment personality Russell Brand. The film will have its world premiere March 13 at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas.

Alice Su, a young journalist based in Amman, Jordan, will present an on-campus lecture on Thursday, March 12, at 4:15 p.m. The event will be held in the McEwen Communications Building, room 011.

The freelancer will host a presentation titled “Interim Lives,” discussing her work abroad that focuses on topics relating to refugees, religion, China and the Middle East. The event will be held in the McEwen Communications Building, room 011.

The School of Communications professor addressed long-standing traits and skills essential in the advertising industry. The visit was part of the University of South Carolina’s Advertising Speaker Series. 

School of Communications seniors Marisa Moody and Erin Turner traveled to the Big Apple in February to participate in the American Advertising Federation’s Most Promising Multicultural Students Program, the advertising industry’s premier multicultural recruiting initiative.

Several ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduates earned top honors in the North Carolina Press Association’s 2014 News, Editorial and Photojournalism Contest. The alumni winners, ​led by Kristin Zachary '09 and Scott Muthersbaugh '06, were celebrated at the association's annual Winter Institute Feb. 26.

Sixteen ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students, including one soon-to-be Internet sensation, took part in Hollywood’s night to celebrate cinematic achievements in the film industry.
