The assistant professor of sport and event management traveled to New Orleans in late February to present at the Sport and Recreation Law Association’s annual conference.

Nearly two-dozen ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a March 15 conference to hear from marketing professionals and industry leaders. 

Supported by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Fund for Excellence, “Re: view” is a collaborative project incorporating students, faculty and staff from the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Communications.

Katrina Taylor ’04 is the editor and producer of a documentary titled “Boone,” which chronicles the trials and tribulations of three young farmers working on a small goat farm in Southern Oregon. 

Michelle Alfini ’16 traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in March to discuss her scholarly paper highlighting the U.S. media coverage of human rights issues in Russia prior to the 2014 Sochi Games. 

Freelance reporter Emily Feldman led a March 7 presentation on campus, highlighting her work abroad that focuses on the humanitarian crises resulting from conflicts in Iraq and Syria, with a special focus on women. 

The School of Communications professor shared the first part of a co-authored study that analyzes communications efforts of the United States, Mexico and Canada targeted to their diaspora communities in the other two countries.
