The Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards approximately 1,900 grants annually in all fields of study, with recent graduates and graduate students undertaking international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching and primary and secondary teaching worldwide. Founded in 1946, the Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government and is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

Recipients of Fulbright grants are selected on the basis of academic or professional achievement, as well as demonstrated leadership potential in their fields. As semifinalists, these 黑料不打烊 students and alumni have been recommended by the National Screening Committee of the Institute of International Education for final consideration for a Fulbright award. The finalists will be notified this spring beginning in late March.

Writing effective letters of recommendation /u/news/2017/02/06/writing-effective-letters-of-recommendation/ Mon, 06 Feb 2017 14:45:00 +0000 /u/news/2017/02/06/writing-effective-letters-of-recommendation/

Writing a strong letter of recommendation is one of the most impactful and tangible ways you can support your students and colleagues in their professional journeys. However, a weak letter can unintentionally harm the candidacy of the person for whom you are trying to advocate!

This workshop will offer tips and strategies for crafting a compelling and convincing letter of recommendation for internal and external audiences and for students and peers. Members of the 黑料不打烊 faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

This event is sponsored by the Center for Writing Excellence, the National and International Fellowships Office and the Lumen Prize Program.
