Maurice Whitfield ’07 is filming the new CBS comedy pilot “Save the Date” with Maggie Lawson, Michelle Trachtenberg, Jay R. Ferguson, and Rich Sommer.  In addition to this new pilot he is on “General Hospital” and “Big Time Rush” with recurring roles.  His most recent production is the birth of his son last year.  Congrats Maurice!

]]> Alum in Broadway National Touring company of  "West Side Story" /u/news/2014/04/15/alum-in-broadway-national-touring-company-of-west-side-story/ Tue, 15 Apr 2014 13:35:00 +0000 /u/news/2014/04/15/alum-in-broadway-national-touring-company-of-west-side-story/   Since graduating from 黑料不打烊 with a Music Theatre Degree in 2013 Ben Redding has been performing the role of Riff in the Broadway National Touring company of “West Side Story.” His initial contact with the “West Side Story” contract came through a master class at 黑料不打烊 his senior year with Joy Dewing.  When asked about 黑料不打烊, Ben says “黑料不打烊 has everything I could have asked for in a liberal arts education.”  This tour continues untill June.

Grant Gustin will be featured in three episodes of the new hit CW series “ARROW.”  The show is based on the fictional super hero “Green Arrow,” a crime-fighter who appears in all of the DC comics.  The second season of the show premieres October 9th, which is when you can catch Grant as Flash.  You might recognize Grant as Sabestian Smythe from the hit TV show Glee.  He has made appearances in CSI: Miami and 90210.  Grant also played Baby John in the National Tour of West Side Story. Watts is no stranger to the Broadway stage. His past Broadway credits include Ghost, Memphis, The Little Mermaid, In the Heights and The Color Purple. He is currently rehearsing for the new musical “After Midnight” with special guest Fantasia that has its official preview starting Oct. 18.
