The reading will begin at 9 a.m. and finish whenever the last participant utters the last word of Himes’ 1945 classic. We’ll be using the 2002 DaCapo Press reprint edition, available on Amazon . In addition, breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided throughout the event.

There are still open spots, and those interested must RSVP to Morgan D’Arcy (mdarcy@elon.edu) by Wednesday, April 2, at 5 p.m. Any questions can be directed to either Samuele Pardini (spardini@elon.edu) or Morgan D’Arcy (mdarcy@elon.edu)

NC Mu Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon makes offer you can’t refuse /u/news/2013/11/13/nc-mu-chapter-of-sigma-phi-epsilon-makes-offer-you-cant-refuse/ Thu, 14 Nov 2013 03:25:00 +0000 /u/news/2013/11/13/nc-mu-chapter-of-sigma-phi-epsilon-makes-offer-you-cant-refuse/ The event, which included a screening of the movie The Godfather and a homemade Italian dinner, invited brothers to compare and contrast the differences between the Corleone Mafia in cinema vs. Italian-Americans in real life. After the movie, Dr. Pardini shared his expertise in Italian-American studies and helped brothers understand the true history and significance of The Godfather.

SigEp’s Residential Learning Community program was created in 2000 to provide undergraduate men an experience unlike any other on campus. It embraces educational philosophies originated centuries ago at Oxford and Cambridge, providing our members an incredible opportunity for personal growth and academic achievement. The NC Mu chapter started its RLC in fall 2011.

Sigma Phi Epsilon, established in 1901, is one of the nation’s largest fraternities, with over 15,000 undergraduates on 240 campuses across the United States. Its mission is building balanced men, which is achieved through a continuous member development program that has created a fraternity-wide GPA of over 3.0, a focus on the principles of Sound Mind and Sound Body, and service learning efforts that encourage members to give back.
