���ϲ����� School of Law presented Leslie J. Winner, executive director of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, with the Law School’s highest professional honor, the Leadership in the Law Award, recognizing Winner’s significant contributions to law, the legal profession and society. ���ϲ����� Law Dean Luke Bierman presented the award in Charlotte, N.C. at a luncheon forum attended by lawyer-leaders from across North Carolina.

Enthusiasm for the achievements of ���ϲ����� Law students and for ���ϲ����� Law’s leadership role in the innovation of legal education infused the law school’s eighth annual Friends & Family Day on Sept. 19.

Delivering ���ϲ����� Law's fall 2015 Distinguished Leadership Lecture presented by The Joseph M. Bryan Foundation on Sept. 14, former two-term Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm encouraged future leaders to find their passion and commit themselves fully to it.

���ϲ����� Law’s Entrepreneurship Speaker Series kicked off on Sept. 10, welcoming entrepreneurs, law students and others to an event entitled “How to Choose the Best Business Structure for Your Company.” Speakers included ���ϲ����� Law Professor John Flynn, attorney Greg Chabon and law student Gonzalo Ventura. 

Part seven of ���ϲ����� Law’s student summer employment series spotlights the insights and experiences of those working in military law, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, criminal law, family law, immigration law and intellectual property law. 

In an ���ϲ����� Law Now commentary, Professor Michael Rich applauds new policy changes at the U.S. Department of Justice developed to pursue white-collar crimes more aggressively, but questions the depth of impact those changes will have. 

���ϲ����� Law Professor George R. Johnson, Jr. will moderate a special event featuring Pulitzer Prize winning columnist Leonard Pitts, Jr., and conservative activist Star Parker. 

Dean Bierman will meet with ���ϲ����� Law students on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 12:45 to 1:15 p.m. in Room 207, to present on matters of significance to the student body and to converse with students about topics of interest to them. 

Each fall, the Moot Court Board invites rising 2L and 3L students at ���ϲ����� Law to compete in the Intramural Moot Court Competition. This year's competition takes place Sept. 21, Sept. 24 and Oct. 1. 

���ϲ����� Law students are invited to meet with representatives from a wide range of ���ϲ����� Law student organizations to learn more and get involved.
