Supporters and participants in the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Academy celebrated the 10th anniversary of the college access and success program on Thursday, Sept. 15. 

The Class of 2020 gathered in Alumni Gym on Thursday, Sept. 15, to make a commitment to the values upon which the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Honor Code is based. 

The 1944 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate made significant contributions toward the creation of the Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life and the launch of The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Academy. 

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ President Leo M. Lambert was joined by the presidents of Duke University, Wake Forest University, Davidson College, Bennett College and Guilford College at the Governor Morehead Forum. 

The lifelong learning initiative at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ features weekly presentations from current and retired ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty and staff, alums and other experts in the community. 

Through "Keizai in Kansai: Business and Culture in Japan," a group of nine ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students studied the Japanese economy up close for nearly a month.

The documentary by filmmaker Jan Van Wyk, "Musings of an Iraqi Patriot," traces the journey of Ahmed Fadaam from his native Iraq to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ. 

The university has been named repeatedly to the list by the environmental organization, which looks at sustainability practices, carbon footprints and recycling efforts.
