Former U.S. Treasurer to Headline Reagan Centennial Dinner – April 26

Former U.S. Treasurer Bay Buchanan will headline the Reagan Centennial Dinner held on campus on Tuesday, April 26, an event hosted by the ��ϲ�� College Republicans in partnership with the Young America’s Foundation, Alamance Republican Women and the Alamance County GOP.

This is the fourth year that the ��ϲ�� College Republicans have hosted a dinner to honor Reagan.

A meet-and-greet will be held for students before the dinner at 5:15 in the Isabella Cannon Room in the Center for the Arts. Any student with an ID is invited to attend.

Buchanan served as U.S. Treasurer under President Reagan. She has also served as adviser to her brother, Pat Buchanan, during each of his presidential bids and currently is a political analyst frequently seen on CBS’s Morning Show, as well as on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News. She writes a regular column for Human Events Online; is the president of The American Cause, an educational foundation dedicated to advancing traditional conservative principles; and co-chairman of Team America, a PAC dedicated to opposing amnesty for illegal aliens.

Doors open at 6:00, dinner begins at 6:30. Tickets are $25 ($10 for students with ID). Table and event co-sponsorships available.

College Republican Reagan Dinner on March 19

The ��ϲ�� College Republicans will host its second annual Reagan Dinner Thursday, March 19. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Cost for ��ϲ�� Students is just $10.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door. Jack Sawyer, former candidate for NC Secretary of State, will be the key note speaker.

Mike Adams will be speaking at ��ϲ�� Thusday, May 1, at 7:00 in Belk Pavilion, Room 208. Adams, author of “Welcome to the Ivory Tower of Babel” and “Feminists Say the Darnedest Things” will be speaking on “Traditional American Values.”

The event is being made possible by the Leadership Institute and is being hosted by ��ϲ��’s Conservatives with cooperation from the ��ϲ�� College Republicans.

College Republicans to host Reagan Dinner on April 16

The ��ϲ�� College Republicans is hosting its first Reagan Dinner on Wednesday, April 16. Ten statewide candidates will attend, as well as a plethora of regional and local candidates, including Hugh Webster, candidate for U.S. Congress.

Tickets are only $6 for students in advance, $10 for non-students or $15 at the door and include all-you- can-eat Hursey’s chicken and barbecue. To purchase a ticket, stop by the CR table in Moseley on Tuesday between 10:00 and 3:00 or e-mail nochsner@elon.edu.
