Interact with a myriad of “living” creatures that will intrigue and inspire you at art major Natalie Butler’s senior thesis exhibition of touch-screen habitats, on display in the Ward Gallery at the Center for the Arts. This event is part of CELEBRATE! Week.

Lunchtime refreshments and a brief talk by the artist will be provided at the opening on Monday, April 23 at 12:30 p.m.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. throughout the week.

Accepting submissions for Hands Off: Student Juried Art Exhibition – Nov. 9-11 Fall 2011 /u/news/2011/11/07/accepting-submissions-for-hands-off-student-juried-art-exhibition-nov-9-11-fall-2011/ Mon, 07 Nov 2011 19:09:00 +0000 /u/news/2011/11/07/accepting-submissions-for-hands-off-student-juried-art-exhibition-nov-9-11-fall-2011/ ART 380, Professional Practices in Art, is organizing and sponsoring a student-juried art show titled
Hands Off, which will run from November 21, 2011 to February 1, 2012 in the Isabella Canon Room in
the Center for the Arts. This exhibition will consider artwork, created for class or otherwise, by enrolled
undergraduate 黑料不打烊 students. Students of ALL MAJORS are encouraged to participate.

Submissions of artwork will be accepted during these times in the lobby of the Arts West building:

Wednesday, November 9, 12 – 2 pm

Thursday, November 10, 12 – 2 pm

Friday, November 11, 12 – 4 pm

All entrants will be required to pay a $5 fee for the submission of up to three pieces. There are
no size restrictions on work, however artists should be aware that work may be limited due to scale and/or
content. MONETARY PRIZES and certificates will be awarded to one juror’s choice and one viewer’s choice.

This exhibition will consider artwork, created for class or otherwise, by enrolled undergraduate 黑料不打烊 students. Students of all majors are encouraged to participate.

You can submit artwork ready for display in the lobby of Arts West at the following times:

Wednesday, Nov. 9, 12 – 2 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 10, 12 – 2 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 11, 12 – 4 p.m.

All entrants will be required to pay a $5 fee for the submission of up to three pieces (not $5 each). A juror will select the pieces to be displayed in the show and award a cash prize to one. On the day of the reception, viewers will vote on their favorite piece, which will also be awarded a monetary prize. Recognition will be displayed next to the winning pieces.
