February 25-29th, 2008
 
The purpose of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week is to promote positive body image and educate students on the reality and prevalence of eating disorders. The key message and theme for the week at 黑料不打烊 is “Be Comfortable in Your Own Genes. Wear Jeans that fit the TRUE you,” and we are encouraging all 黑料不打烊 faculty, students, and staff along with student organizational leaders to wear their blue jeans and to support this campaign on Friday, February 29, Love Your Body Day. We will also be holding a clothing drive throughout the week for people to drop off their old and used blue jeans for donation to a local charity. Check out the rest of our events for the week below:

]]> “Love Your Body” Week Interest Meeting Feb. 12 /u/news/2008/02/08/love-your-body-week-interest-meeting-feb-12/ Fri, 08 Feb 2008 21:43:00 +0000 /u/news/2008/02/08/love-your-body-week-interest-meeting-feb-12/ We are looking for students who would like to volunteer their time and contribute their creativity to helping the first annual “Love Your Body” Week, February 24-29, 2008, in becoming a huge success on campus.

“Love Your Body” week is all about increasing the student awareness of eating disorders and promoting the development of healthy lifestyles and a positive body image on campus. At the interest meeting, we will explaining the target and goal of the week and discussing ways for you or your organizations to get involved in helping with this campaign. If you are interested in just offering a helping hand, we also have a variety of interesting tasks to choose from ranging from building a life-size Barbie doll to hanging jeans.

We will be meeting in Belk 206 from 5-6pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.

]]> Cosmic Ultimate Frisbee Tournament, April 27 /u/news/2007/04/23/cosmic-ultimate-frisbee-tournament-april-27/ Mon, 23 Apr 2007 23:34:00 +0000 /u/news/2007/04/23/cosmic-ultimate-frisbee-tournament-april-27/ Ultimate Frisbee tournament under the lights!! The official date is Friday April 27th and it is from 8-10:30pm on the south campus intramural fields with check in time at 7:45pm. To play you will need 7-10 players per team and the cost is $7 per person. The first ten teams that turn their money in will receive a free t-shirt!! Everyone will get glow stick braclets or necklaces to wear while playing and the frisbee will also have lights in it so it will be easier to see since the matches/games will be taking place at night. The games will last a total of 20 minutes with 2 10 minute halves and you are guaranteed 2 games of playing. The winning teams will receive a prize at the end.
