Hosted by the Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and the Omicron Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

February 18th – 22, 2008

MONDAY, FEB. 18TH – RESPECT YOUR ROOTS
Join the Phirst Pham as we hear a first hand perspective of the Black History of ��ϲ�� from guest alum speakers in Moseley 215 at 7 PM.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20TH – RELAX AND DINE

Come out and enjoy appetizers from different black cultures with the Phirst Pham and the ��ϲ�� Gospel Choir Praise Team in the Alpha Phi Alpha House at 5 PM.

FRIDAY, FEB. 22ND – A NIGHT IN THE HARLEM RENAISSANCE
Join the Phirst Pham and Black Cultural Society as we celebrate the Harlem Renaissance with a night of spoken word and music in McKinnon at 7 PM.

Also, Sigma Delta & Omicron Epsilon will be raising money for their respective philanthropies, including the March of Dimes’ WalkAmerica (now March for Babies).

March of Dimes Speaker Today, April 18, Hosted by Phi Beta Sigma & Alpha Phi Alpha

Laura Dillard, the Chairman of the Board of Directors from Novant Health, will be coming to ��ϲ��’s campus to speak on behalf of the March of Dimes, in anticipation of WalkAmerica.

WalkAmerica is held in 1,100 communities across the nation, which raises money to help save babies. Ms. Dillard will be discussing pregnancies, birth defects, premature births, complications, newborns and how all of these things affect college students.

The program, hosted by the Alpha Beta Beta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma and the Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, will be held in the Multicultural Center on April 18th at 7 PM. Please come and find out more about what you can do to help solve these health issues.

Alpha Phi Alpha Male Unity Program Today, March 15

All students are encouraged to come and support the Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, as we host our Male Unity program at the Alpha Phi Alpha house tonight at 7 PM. Members of Spectrum will speak about their struggles as homosexuals and what males on ��ϲ��’s campus can do to make each other feel empowered.

This event is a part of Alpha’s Male Empowerment Week. The week’s events are designed to encourage, inspire, and unite males on ��ϲ��’s campus. Even though this week’s events are for males, ALL STUDENTS are more than welcome to attend!

Tuesday, March 13th
Empower Your Favorite ��ϲ�� Male
Ladies, come visit our table in Moseley and write an encouraging message to a male of your choice.

Wednesday, March 14th
Resume Building Workshop
Belk 102 @ 7 PM
The Career Center will conduct a workshop on how to build an effective resume, job protocol, graduate school interviews, etc.

Thursday, March 15th
Male Unity (with Spectrum)
Alpha Phi Alpha House @ 7 PM
Members of Spectrum will speak about their struggles as homosexuals and what males on ��ϲ��’s campus can do to make each other feel empowered.

Support Alpha Phi Alpha and donate to the MLK Memorial

The men of the Sigma Delta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, will be raising money for the Washington, D.C. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial, as part of their MLK Week. Please come to our table in Moseley and donate anytime between 11 AM and 5 PM from now through Friday. Regular or Phoenix Cash is accepted.

The King Memorial, which recently broke ground, will commemorate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (a member of Alpha Phi Alpha) and honor his national and international contributions to world peace through non-violent social change. The King Memorial is one of Alpha Phi Alpha’s national projects.
