Following extensive training in this approach to speech and accent instruction, Professor of Performing Arts Wahl has been recognized as a certified teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork (KTS).

The appeal of KTS, with its emphasis on developing the speaker’s awareness of the physical actions that produce speech, and its playful yet rigorous approach, is growing rapidly in American theatre training programs. Wahl and the cohort that he trained with this past summer now bring the number of certified teachers of KTS to 60 internationally.

Kristina Adler ’12, whom 黑料不打烊 friends will recall her as Kristina Loeffke, is playing the role of Elsa this season in the series “Preacher.”

​In flashback sequences, she appears to be a young Adolf Hitler’s love interest and things will get particularly interesting in Episode 11, scheduled to air on Aug. 28.

Adler is a graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting program. 黑料不打烊 faculty and staff will remember her in 黑料不打烊 stage productions as Tecmessa in “Ajax,” Lenny in “Crimes of the Heart,” and Kitty in “The Time of Your Life.” She is currently acting, directing, and producing films in Atlanta through her film production company, Jump Cut Collective.

Adler is traveling the festival circuit with her Southern gothic short film, “Birthday Cake,” which recently won the audience award at the 2017 Atlanta Film Festival and will next appear at the Macon Film Festival.
