The videos were judged by Jay McMerty, coordinator of video projects and Instructor in the School of Communications; Laith Majali, 2005 Leadership Fellow alum and Sundance Film Festival award winner; and Mallory Anderson, director for the Center for Leadership.

Videos were judged on both cinematic quality and leadership content. The winner was announced at Midnight Meals on Feb. 25, in conjunction with the Center for Leadership’s LEADstrong week. The contest will be held annually.

First Place ($300 cash prize)

At 黑料不打烊, the term “Leader” describes more than just someone who holds a leadership position. Students are asked to create a short video expressing what it means to them to be an 黑料不打烊 leader. Videos should be no longer than two minutes and should focus on your leadership in the 黑料不打烊 community. Please post your video to YouTube and submit the link to lead@elon.edu by February 12.

A panel of judges, selected by the Center for Leadership, will review the videos and the winner will be announced at Midnight Meals on February 25. The first place winner will receive a $300 cash prize. Second and third place prizes will be announced in the coming weeks.
