Driven by a desire to transform education, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Teaching Fellow Lily Ragals '26 has turned her undergraduate years into a global classroom, conducting state-conference research on autism representation in children's literature, studying inclusive education in New Zealand and exploring education policy in Washington, D.C.

Growing up as a multi-sport athlete, Nastassia Harrison '28 is blending her lifelong love of dance with a drive to heal, pursuing ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's dance science major, an EMT certification and hands-on clinical experience to chart her own path toward sports physical therapy.

Through the Communications Fellows, Odyssey Program and the First Phoenix Society, Gabriela Alvarez '28 has embraced her identity as a first-generation student while pursuing opportunities that support both her academic goals and personal growth.

A professor’s encouragement helped Christian Seitz ’16 discover a passion for chemistry that ultimately led him to global vaccine research. Now working through the University of Chicago, Seitz studies viruses identified by the World Health Organization as potential pandemic threats in an effort to help prevent future global outbreaks.

Motivated by her cousin Grace, who has Down syndrome, Izzie Crowley found her purpose in helping children reach their potential, no matter their challenges. Supported by a personal donor relationship that reminds her why she chose this path, Crowley aims to make a difference in the education system.

What began as an uncertain start on a pre-med track turned into a journey of creative discovery for Delaney Guidi ’26, who found her purpose and her people through ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s School of Communications, with the help of her scholarship.

As a Califf Endowed Scholarship recipient, Malia Cortes ’28 uses her opportunity to pursue biology and the pre-med track to the fullest. With over 400 volunteer hours and an internship at Alamance Eye Center, she hopes to one day work and support Alamance’s Dermatology Practices.

Inspired by the 2008 financial crisis, Noah Biggers ’26 is pursuing a dual degree in accounting through the Odyssey Program to ensure ethical accountability in the corporate world.
