Help with the Special Olympics Alamance County Spring Games

Sponsored by ��ϲ�� Volunteers!, the games will take place on Friday, April 8, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Belk Track.

What to expect:
– Help your athlete get from event to event
– Be their cheerleader and entertainer
– Have fun!

We ask that volunteers be present for the entire day so the athlete has consistency, but if you cannot be there for the duration we encourage you to come out and cheer on the athletes!

Help us reach our goal of 167 pints and save lives!

Donors will receive t-shirts and be entered to win a pair of round trip airline tickets.

How to sign up:
– Visit redcrossblood.org/Carolinas, click “Make an appointment,” and enter sponsor code 1428
– Stop by our Moseley tables March 29-April 5 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
– Visit us at College Coffee on March 29 and April 5

If you can’t donate, are terrified of needles or blood makes you cringe, you can still help us boardstorm and work at Moseley tables, or volunteer at the drive by working the canteen or registration table.

MLK Day of Service – Jan. 17

Monday, Jan. 17, has been designated “Day of Service” commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. Sponsored by the Multicultural Center and Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement, the event consists of projects at various agencies around the community. Volunteers should plan to meet at Boney Fountain outside Moseley Center at 9 a.m.

Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Sleep-Out – Nov. 19

Put yourself in someone else’s shoes on Nov. 19 and experience the feeling of not having a warm home for the night first-hand. It is also great for groups that are looking for a bonding activity.

Rain Location: Moseley 230 from 7:30-9 p.m., then move to Holt Chapel at 9 p.m.

Note: West Lawn is next to Moseley

Join “Stop Hunger Now” for Make a Difference Day – Oct. 23

Why validate?

Validated service hours are placed on your ��ϲ�� Experiences Transcript.
��ϲ�� is known for its commitment to service. When all of our hours are counted together, we make a large impact.
Both individual and group service counts.

Validate by May 11 to have your hard work count.

Note: Restitution hours do not count towards validation.
