America Reads Tutor & America Reads Coordinator Positions Available

Tutoring positions are currently available with America Reads. We work with local elementary schools & after school programs with children K-5. Flexible hours. Pay starts at $9/hr. Must have federal work study to apply.

Carpool options available. Applications due Jan. 13 at 5 p.m.

There is also an opening for an America Reads coordinator position. This position manages the America Reads tutoring program serving in a supervisory capacity. Choose your own hours. Pay starts at $9/hr. Federal work study is not a requirement. Applications due on Jan. 6 at 5 p.m.

America Reads job openings

Are you interested in tutoring elementary school children? If so, then America Reads could be the job for you! We work with local elementary schools and after school programs in the community tutoring students in grades K-5.

Pay starts at $9/hour. Gas will be compensated for and carpooling options are available.

There will be an interest meeting held on Monday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 in McEwen 011. For an application or more information contact Gayla Carr or Joy DeBolt at kernodle@elon.edu.

Applications for this position will be due no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16. Applications can be submitted via email or brought to The Kernodle Center for Service Learning and Community Engagement in Mosley 215.

America Reads Coordinator

America Reads Coordinators are hired student leaders in ��ϲ��’s Kernodle Center for Service Learning. The basic responsibilities are the hiring, training and scheduling of tutors as well as improving the program. If you have a passion for providing a service to the community and are confident in your leadership skills and time management capabilities, we welcome you to apply for the coordinator position.

Applications will be due February 25 by 5 p.m. Please return this application electronically to kernodle@elon.edu or submit a hard copy in the Kernodle Center for Service Learning, Moseley 230, Box 37.

We expect a coordinator who is committed to the mission of America Reads, motivated, highly organized and who can work with minimal supervision.

This position requires a time commitment of 8-10 hours per week. Starting pay is $8.25/hour.
