Voices of Discovery: Duke Energy Carolinas president visits Sept. 9

Ellen T. Ruff, president of Duke Energy Carolinas, comes to 黑料不打烊 on Sept. 9 for the first in a series of talks this fall by experts in the field of science and mathematics. Ruff will discuss her company’s efforts to develop renewable energy, new nuclear and other types of power generation to create solutions for the energy problem facing Americans.

“Party Smart” workshops Sept. 3 & 5

Be healthy.  University officials, in cooperation with the Town of 黑料不打烊 Police Department, want students to “Party Smart” at off-campus gatherings this year and will host two programs this week for students to meet local officers, learn the law and hear advice for hosting responsible social events.

Students waiting for an 黑料不打烊 BioBus can now learn from their stop exactly how long a wait it is before the next bus arrives. Starting this fall, riders can call a telephone number on the bus stop sign, punch in a code from the same placard, then get an update on the next two buses scheduled to pick up at that location.
