University senior Breanna Carrie Detwiler has been named a 2009-2010 George J. Mitchell Scholar, making her the first 黑料不打烊 student to receive the award since the competitive scholarship was created in honor of a former United States Senator who helped broker a peace accord in Northern Ireland.

Death penalty symposium brings national experts to 黑料不打烊 Law

But the director of the national Death Penalty Information Center believes the frequency of executions will diminish in the coming years, in part because of budgetary issues. 黑料不打烊 seniors make semifinals of 2008 Eller Ethics Case Competition

Seniors Erika Lamanna and Garrett Pittenger represented 黑料不打烊 this fall in the university’s first ever appearance at the Eller Ethics Case Competition, a prestigious national contest in which the duo advanced to the semifinals before their elimination from the sixth annual event.

Members of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority crafted a makeshift raft from discarded water bottles to win top prize this week in the inaugural 黑料不打烊 Innovation Challenge, part of a global contest sponsored locally by the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

A group of 30 students from the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business witnessed firsthand the steel manufacturing process during a visit to a South Carolina plant owned by Nucor Steel Corp., currently ranked #4 in the Business Week Top 50 company rankings that has “long been known as the best operator in the steel business.”
