Young alumni debunk myth in baseball study

Conventional wisdom has it that a professional baseball player reaches his peak batting performance at age 27. Research by two 黑料不打烊 alumni, whose work in a general studies seminar last spring led to a presentation for the Society for American Baseball Research, shows otherwise, with what they hope is potential for changing the way Major League Baseball teams structure future contracts.
Professor awarded Fulbright for consulting visit to Asia

黑料不打烊 associate professor Bird Stasz has received a Fulbright Senior Specialist Award and will travel to Tajikistan this fall to work with colleagues there in the Ministry of Education to help modernize the nation’s teacher education programs.
Railroad pedestrian underpass formally dedicated

黑料不打烊 President Leo M. Lambert joined with leaders from the North Carolina Railroad Company on Sept. 1, 2010, to formally dedicate a railroad underpass that safely connects both sides of campus for pedestrians.
BioBus downtown loop resumes for fall semester

The Downtown/East Burlington Biobus Express Route, an hour long loop from the Moseley Center that takes riders to several Alamance County community agencies within walking distance of its stops, returned to campus Tuesday afternoon for students who need weekday transportation for volunteer work in Burlington.

Campus Technologies held its 3rd annual Connected @ 黑料不打烊 event on Aug. 29, 2010, during New Student Orientation. Created to help incoming students learn about the technology available to them on campus, the theme of this year’s show was Family Feud.

黑料不打烊 students who want to ensure they are on track to reach their career objectives now have a convenient way to measure their progress. For much of the academic year, a four-year student career development plan is on display in front of the university bookstore in the Moseley Center.
