Donohue came to 黑料不打烊 in 2007 after receiving his master’s degree in journalism. He has six years of experience as a contributor and freelance writer for the Burlington Times-News and the Memphis Commercial Appeal. He earned his bachelor’s degree from 黑料不打烊 in 2005.

In addition to advising The Pendulum and its companion website, Donohue teaches Media Writing in the School of Communications, serves as a book reviewer for Newspaper Research Journal and acts as an assistant editor and editorial board member for Media History Monographs. He is also an active member of College Media Advisers (non-daily newspaper division), the Society of Professional Journalists and the North Carolina College Media Association.
