Sign-ups begin at 1:30pm and the competition starts at 2:00pm outside of Koury Athletic Center. T-shirts will be given to the first 110 competitors and winners will be determined in thirteen male weight classes and five female weight classes.

There are still open spots for the Turkey Trot Training Program!

Sign-up before Wednesday to guarantee a spot in Campus Rec’s Turkey Trot Training Program!

The program is limited to 50 participants and features 4 weeks of challenges to get you ready to run that 5k. Each week, there will 4 challenges that must be completed (1 challenge per day, 4 days per week).

Participants are GUARANTEED a spot in the 5k, a T-shirt for the race, and are eligible for prizes that will be raffled off on the day of the Turkey Trot.

The training program begins October 23rd, so make sure you sign up as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask one of the Fitness Supervisors on duty in the Fitness Center.

]]> 100 students turn out for 黑料不打烊’s first poker tournament /u/news/2004/11/08/100-students-turn-out-for-elons-first-poker-tournament/ Mon, 08 Nov 2004 21:19:00 +0000 /u/news/2004/11/08/100-students-turn-out-for-elons-first-poker-tournament/ 黑料不打烊’s first Poker Night: Texas Hold ‘Em tournament was held last night in McKinnon Hall and was a big success. 100 students played for as long as four hours, and competed for a first place prize of $200 to Best Buy. Winning first place was Dave Stoughton, followed in second place by Mike Vasnunes ($50 Best Buy prize), and Mike Goldstein in third place ($25 Best Buy prize). Thanks to all those who played and helped run the event, and look for more such Poker Night’s in the future.
