Submit your film now for the 2009 ��ϲ�� Film Festival

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2009 ��ϲ�� Student Film Festival, which will be held Wednesday, May 13, at 7.30 p.m. at Carousel Cinemas – Alamance Crossing.

Submissions can include short films, music videos, commercials and other cinematic material.

The festival is open to the public. Doors open at 7 p.m., and screenings will begin at 7.30. Semi-formal dress is requested but not required. Admission is $2, and drinks, snacks and concessions will be available at the theatre.

If you are interested in submitting your piece, please email Amy Reitnouer, festival director, at areitnouer@elon.edu for an application. Paper applications will be due Friday, May 8. Final films will be due by Monday, May 11.

Final Cut Pro seminar Thursday, Nov. 13 at Cin��ϲ��

Join us for a Final Cut Pro seminar this Thursday (11/13) at 7:15 in McEwen (a sign will be posted for the specific room)!

The seminar will focus on specifics like color correction and filters… everything you need to make your film look more professional.

Cin��ϲ��’s Hollywood Haunt Party – Oct. 30

All students are invited to Cin��ϲ��’s Hollywood Haunt Party, this Thursday, October 30, from 5-7:30 p.m. in McEwen 011.

It’ll be a night of crazy costumes, pizza, snacks, and scary movies… we will be screening the 70’s thriller “Don’t Look Now” (1973), directed by Nicolas Roeg (see link below for movie details).

So get your Halloween costume ready, bring your friends, and get ready for a night of fright (and fun!).

Can you operate a video camera? Want to put the skills learned in classes like Digital Media Convergance to use and get paid for it? Interested in attending campus cultural events while you work? Then join ��ϲ�� Video Crew!

We are responsible for filming and editing campus events, speakers, and activities. We offer very flexible schedules, and are looking for students with any range of experience.

“Life as a Musical” Premieres Tuesday, May 8

Come be a part of the world premiere of “Life as a Musical”, the all new movie musical directed by Stevie Kloeber! The screening will take place Tuesday, May 8 at 8:30 p.m. under the Oaks outside of McEwen.

The film stars Ken Handler, Annie Duckett, and Will Amato and is produced by Amy Reitnouer.

Following the premiere of the film, there will be a question and answer session with cast and crew.

Check out a new episode of ESTV’s student travel show “Road Trip” premiering tonight on Channel 14! Join the crew as they explore the rustic side of western North Carolina in and around Boone. Highlights include skiing on Sugar Mountain, exploring Mystery Hill and the Mystery House, and hiking on Grandfather Mountain. Take a look tonight at 8:30.
