KCSL: Volunteer at Cummings High School during Winter Term or spring semster

Are you looking for a way to get involved with the Burlington community? How about making a difference in the lives of high school students? If so, then becoming a tutor at Cummings High School is the perfect choice!

Cummings High School in Burlington, NC is currently looking for tutors for winter and spring terms. After school tutoring and during the day tutoring are available to help accomodate any schedule. Common duties include help with homework, editing papers, and helping to brainstorm for projects. It’s a great way to get involved and meet others within the ��ϲ�� and Burlington communities. Plus, it’s also a lot of fun.

Are you looking for a way to volunteer and make a difference in a high-schoolers life? If so, then volunteering at Cummings High School may be the perfect thing for you.

Cummings High School is located in Burlington, N.C., and is classified as a Title 1 school. It has a very diverse student population and is always looking for tutors. Tutoring is available both during the school day 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and after school. Volunteers work either one-on-one with a student or with small groups.

Come to Delta Delta Delta “DHOP” on Nov. 6

The sisters of Delta Delta Delta would like to invite you to our annual philanthropy event, DHOP.

DHOP is an all you can eat pancake breakfast for just 5 dollars! It will be held Thursday, Nov. 6 from 11pm until 3am. It’s going to be in the Parish House, which is the white house across from the BP gas station.

Come and test your pancake eating skills by participating in our pancake eating contest at 1am. There will be prizes to the winner.

Sweet Signatures and Twisted Measure will also be performing.

All proceeds will go to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Tri Delta presents DHOP! – Nov. 6

The sisters of Delta Delta Delta would like you to come out and enjoy some pancakes on Nov. 6 from 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. It will be held in the Parrish house, which is the white house across from BP. It is $5 for all-you-care-to-eat pancakes (regular and chocolate chip). All proceeds will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Show off your pancake eating skills by joining us for our pancake eating contest at 1 a.m. There will be prizes to the winner, plus a full stomach!

There will be a Moseley table from Monday, Nov. 3, until Thursday where you can buy your ticket in advance!

Tri Delta Cornhole tournament

The sisters of Delta Delta Delta will be holding their first ever cornhole tournament on April 25. It will be held at 3:30 p.m. at a location not yet decided. All proceeds will go to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The entry fee for a two person team is $25, which includes t-shirts for both players. You can also sign up a team for $10, which does not include t-shirts.There are group/organization rates if you wish to sign up more than 5 teams. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate.

Tri Delta cornhole tournament April 4

The sisters of Delta Delta Delta will be holding our first annual cornhole tournament on April 4 at 3:30 p.m. All proceeds will go to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The winning team will receive its very own cornhole set and a check to a desired philanthropy. Raffle prizes will also be given out throughout the event.

Cost:

$10 for a team (without t-shirts)

$25 for one team (with t-shirts)

$100 for 5 teams ( with t-shirts)

$175 for 10 teams (with t-shirts)

Club softball interest meeting Feb. 8

The women’s club softball team will be holding an interest meeting on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at 5 p.m. on Firehouse fields. All women are invited to come and give it a try, regardless of age or skill level. The women’s club team plays competitively against teams such as UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, East Carolina University, UGA, and many others. It is guaranteed to be a fun time!
